Race 4 - October 1st @ Silverstone International Circuit
Pictures will be posted on the SOR Facebook Page page.
Race lead changes:
1. Lap 2 – Lgamer wastes no time working through the field, and taking the lead away as Crowdman86 runs wide in Turn 7.
2. Lap 4 – As the leaders come out of Luffield, CBZ Rogue D90 has the better drive out, and passes Lgamer575 on the inside of Turn 15.
3. Lap 5 – CBZ Rogue D90 runs wide out of Maggotts, and Lgamer575 regains the lead on the inside of Turn 4
4. Lap 5 – Cross-over through Turn 7/8 with CBZ Rogue D90 and Lgamer 575, giving CBZ Rogue D90 a better drive on the inside as they had for the Bridge, allowing CBZ Rogue D90 to regain the lead.
5. Lap 13 – Another Cross-over through Turn 7/8. This time with CBZ Rogue D90 and Nitro Sam. Nitro Sam having the better drive on the inside as Nitro Sam gains the lead through Turn 9.
6. Lap 15 – CBZ Rogue D90 again runs wide coming out of Maggotts providing costly, as Nitro Sam continues to pull away from this point on claiming his first victory.
Observations from the rest of the field:
• Fantastic battles throughout the field.
o (CBZ Rogue D90/Nitro Sam, NghtFox17/Major Copyright, and Lgamer575/blackviper162)
• Turn 7/8 seemed to provide area to setup a pass.
• THA 8AWSS had to quit early for personal reasons, we wish him the best.
• xxJiMb0bJ0nEsxx had a late start, but was able to finish the latter half of the race.
• A nod to blackviper162 for his sportsmanship, because, even though he followed SOR procedure regarding the incident between him and Lgamer575, and apologized. Blackviper162 still requested to swap finishing points with Lgamer575, to show his remorse.
Incident Evaluations after replay review:
• xxJiMb0bJ0nEsxx & Crowdman86 – Lap 12 Turn 4: Crowdman86 entered turn 4 too hot, locking up the brakes, and collecting xxJiMb0bJ0nEsxx, sending both cars into a spin. Crowdman86 gave back the position and apologized, thereby, resolving the incident.
• Lgamer575 & blackviper162 – Lap 12 Turn 9: blackviper162 was unable to get enough of a run on Lgamer575 going into Turn 9. As a result, blackviper162 got into the rear-quarter of Lgamer575, causing both cars to spin. Blackviper162 gave back the position, and apologized, thereby, resolving the accident. However blackviper162 switched finishing order points with Lgamer575 by choice to further make amends for the accident.
• Lgamer575 & DJ 5paZt1c – Lap 14 Turn 4-7: Turn 4 Lgamer575 gets a run on DJ 5paZt1c out of Maggotts into Turn 4. However it did not gain Lgamer575 enough ground to receive the inside line. This resulted in a mild impact with DJ 5paZt1c, sending DJ 5paZt1c to the outside of Turn 4, but not off-track, therefore the ‘give back rule’ does not apply. Turn 7, DJ 5paZt1c is several car-lengths behind Lgamer575, yet hurtles in full speed at Lgamer575. This is an unacceptable action and is addressed in the “Warnings and Penalties” Section. Luckly for Lgamer575, DJ 5paZt1c only caught the tip of his nose, only knocking him to the outside, and not severely damaging his car.
Driver Warnings & Penalties:
DJ 5paZt1c:
• For reckless driving resulting in rollover & interfering with the race ( Lap 14 Turn 7)
• Intentional heavy impact accident with Lgamer575 (Lap14 Turn 7)
**At SOR we have a Zero-Tolerance Policy regarding intentional heavy impact accidents (attempted or successful). The minimum penalty in SOR for such actions is a one race suspension, and probation for the rest of the series, with a second related incident while under probation, resulting in a ban from all future SOR events. In cases where there less than 2 races after the suspension, the probation will be carried over to your next participated series within SOR.
However, in light of your unapologetic reply (in the AE86 Cup Main Thread), you have made it quite clear that you lack the level of sportsmanship that we expect from SOR participants. This being said, we do not want drivers that work against the atmosphere we aim to bring our events. So you are on a 3 month suspension from all SOR Events/Series. We hope to run with you in the future but a repeat occurrence will result in a permanent removal.**
Special Notes: Due to the severity of what occurred with DJ 5paZt1c, the full SOR Executive Team was brought into the decision making process regarding DJ 5paZt1c’s suspension.
