Welcome everyone to the inaugural running of Formula Dirt. This pilot North American Series is just 4 races, It will give iRacing a chance to get more Dirt Ovals on the service plus provide a chance to see how things flow and make adjustments where needed. To minimize confusion, the event times for this series will be given in Eastern Daylight-Saving Time.
Starting track state will be 25% for all sessions.
Time of Day will be NIGHT with weather set to Dynamic
The session will open at 2100 EDT ( 0100 UTC ) with the following format:
Each race will feature a Staggered Single File Rolling Restarts: When the lights go off on the pace car, the lead car gets the choice for inside or outside lane, then the following car moves to the opposite line while staying behind the lead car traditionally done with single file restarts. Subsequent cars will continue to follow suit alternating lanes accordingly.
We will be enforcing the SOR Rulebook in each race. However, due to the limited time of the administrative staff, the marshal reports will only have the incident number, driver(s) involved, and penalty.
